Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen
Greeting at the port of Tangier and the journey will begin entering the Rif mountains and heading Chefchaouen. The name of the Berber city means “horn”,Beautifully placed, you will enjoy the contrast of the blue-white houses built on on different levels. Dinner and overnight at hotel or riad.
Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fès
After breakfast departure to Fès. Visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis and continue to Meknes for visiting the old medina of this imperial city surrounded by ramparts. We continue by bringing you to your accommodation at the hotel or riad in Fès.
Day 3: Fès
The whole day is dedicated to Fès, the oldest imperial city in Morocco, founded in the 8th century by Moulay Idriss II. You will visit the medina, Medersa Attarine, Fontaine Nejjarine, Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss and the Qarawiyyin Mosque and the new medina in Fez, el-Jdid. In the evening check-in to the hotel or riad.
Day 4: Fès – Merzouga
In the morning we start to the desert village of Merzouga via Azrou, the cedar forests and Ziz gorge. This is an interesting route and you can stop for lunch in Midelt. In the late afternoon we arrive at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes and check-in to the desert inn-hotel where you can safely wander into the desert to watch the sunset.
Day 5: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi
Today you can take the chance to discover the region of Merzouga. You will begin with the village of the Gnawa people, have a glass of mint tea with them and enjoy the live Gnawa music, which is played by those people. Then you will explore the desert lake with its different kinds of birds. Continue towards the vast palm of Tafilalet, visiting the town of Rissani (the origin of the Alaouite dynasty and the ancient capital of Sultans Alaouite) with its fortified villages and souks. Late afternoon drive back to the desert inn-hotel. There our camels will wait for us, which will bring us into the heart of the dunes where we will spend the night in our berbere tents. During the relaxing camel ride you can watch the impressive sunset in the Merzouga desert. A day full of adventure and culture.
Day 6: Merzouga – Todra gorges – Dades gorges
in the early morning our camels will bring us back to our hotel. Enjoy a fantastic sunrise during the ride. Arrival at the hotel for refreshing and breakfast. Departure to Dades gorges throughout number of Berber villages. Visit and lunch in Todra gorges. Afternoon continue to Dades valley. Overnight in the hotel/kasbah in Dades gorges.
Day 7: Dades gorges – Ouarzazate
After breakfast we continue to the town of Ouarzazate through the Road of Thousand Kasbahs and off road to the Rose Valley where you will have time to visite nomades living in the caves. Continue to Skoura palmerie, visit of Aridhyl Kasbah. Visit Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate. Overnight in the riad/kasbah in Ouarzazate.
Day 8: Ait Ben-Haddou – Marrakech – Essaouira
After breakfast we drive from Ouarzazate to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. Visit of this old Berber village, where many movies were filmed like Obelix, Gladiator and others. We continue on the road to Marrakech crossing the High Atlas mountains through T’ichka pass of 2.260 m, stopping at places with magnificent panoramic views to take pictures, have lunch in Marrakech, and follow the way until Essaouira, overnight in hotel or riad.
Day 9: Essaouira – Marrakech
After breakfast, visit the old city of Essaouira accompanied by a local guide or on your own. If you like, you can spend the rest of time on the beach. About 3 p.m. in the afternoon we drive back to Marrakech, night in a hotel or riad.
Day 10: Marrakech
After breakfast, the group will have a guided tour in Marrakech, the southern pearl of Morocco. You will discover the Bahia- and Badi-Palaces, the Saadian Tombs, the Menara gardens with the big water reservoir and many other hidden treasures. Lunch will be in one of the finest traditional restaurants in Marrakech. After lunch, you will continue the tour to the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque and the famous Djemaa el Fna, one of the center attractions of Marrakech. Coming alive at night with the local storytellers, entertainers, monkey tamers and mouth-watering barbeques, the square is well worth a visit.
Day 11: Marrakech – Casablanca – Rabat – Asilah
Early morning departure to Casablanca. Visit the Mosque of Hassan II, then continue to Asilah on the coast road through Rabat and Larache. Overnight in hotel in Asilah.
Day 12: Asilah – Tangier
Spend the morning on the beach and visit the medina of Asilah, then to the port to take the ferry back to Spain.
