Day 1: Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Skoura – Roses Valley – Dades Gorge
Travel over the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2.260m) while enjoying superb views of the mountains and of the Berber villages on the way. Stop for lunch in the world heritage site of Ait Benhaddou. This famous kasbah was used as a backdrop for more than 20 films. Pass through Ouarzazate and continue towards the Valley of Roses and the Dades Valley, Skoura oasis with its authentic 17th century kasbah, the valley of a thousand Kasbahs and the Dades Gorge. Stay overnight in a hotel.
Day 2: – Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the Todra Gorge: a massive, rising to 300 m in a narrow valley thick studded with palmeries and Berber villages. After get transported further into the desert to Merzouga, stops along the great sand dunes of Erg Chebbi where you will take a camel ride (about one hour and a half) in order to get to your bivouac tent.
Day 3: Merzouga – visit of the region and tour of the dunes by 4×4
Take the opportunity of this day to discover the region of Merzouga. You will begin by the village of the Gnawa and have a cup of mint tea, it’s here that you will stop and enjoy the live Gnawa music which is played by those people. On your 4×4 you will discover the nomad’s lifestyle while you are visiting them in their tents around the Erg Chebbi dunes. Lunch with locals in Berber village. In the afternoon you ride out your camel crossing the ocean of the dunes in order to spend the night in the heart of the desert.
Day 4: Merzouga – Ziz valley and gorge – Tizi n’Talghamt – Midelt –Azrou cedar forest – Ifrane – Fès
